Who Are We…
Adhiti Education Trust has been set-up to run free rural pre-schools named DhuloMati (for ages 2-6) and rural remedial learning centres named SlatePencil (for ages 6-9) and ChokKhori (for ages 6-16), in every locality of economically or socially marginalised sections, of every village in West Bengal. The Trust has already opened 20 Dhulomati Schools and 5 Chok Khori School in Purulia, Bankura, Hooghly and North 24 Parganas. These schools have been running successfully with more than 800 students for more than a year.
Where are we headed…
No rural child, especially children from economically or socially marginalised sections of society, shall be denied access to early learning through pedagogy customised to rural India.
No school going school student, especially students from economically or socially marginalised sections of society, shall be denied access foundational learning to improve their reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
